Sony Interactive Entertainment and Kojima Productions have unveiled Death Stranding 2 , the highly anticipated sequel to Hideo Kojima’s genre-defining 2019 masterpiece. Set to debut June 26 on PlayStation 5, the game promises to expand its hauntingly beautiful world and revolutionary asynchronous multiplayer experience.
A cinematic teaser trailer, revealed during a surprise PlayStation showcase, hints at a deeper exploration of the original’s themes—connection, isolation, and the fragility of humanity—while introducing new threats and mechanics. Kojima, renowned for his visionary storytelling, shared:
