Sony Interactive Entertainment and Kojima Productions have unveiled Death Stranding 2 , the highly anticipated sequel to Hideo Kojima’s genre-defining 2019 masterpiece. Set to debut June 26 on PlayStation 5, the game promises to expand its hauntingly beautiful world and revolutionary asynchronous multiplayer experience.

A cinematic teaser trailer, revealed during a surprise PlayStation showcase, hints at a deeper exploration of the original’s themes—connection, isolation, and the fragility of humanity—while introducing new threats and mechanics. Kojima, renowned for his visionary storytelling, shared:
“Death Stranding 2 isn’t just a sequel—it’s a leap into uncharted emotional and gameplay territory. We’re redefining how players interact with each other and the world itself.”

The game reunites players with protagonist Sam Porter Bridges (Norman Reedus), alongside a mix of familiar faces and new allies, as they navigate a fractured America ravaged by enigmatic supernatural forces.
